In early times, people traded their excess goods with others for needed goods. So, for example, when a produce farmer had excess crop, he would trade with a neighbor who raised animals. This deal enabled them both to have meat and produce to eat. Before technological advances, people were only able to trade with their neighbors. JavaScript was influenced by many languages and was designed to look like Java, but to be easier for non-programmers to work with.
